Affidea UK & Ireland In the UK and Ireland, Affidea operates a growing network of diagnostic imaging and minor injuries centres, delivering a broad range of cutting-edge imaging technology and healthcare services to the public, private insurers, employers, and other organisations. As part of our ongoing expansion, we're extending our presence into new regions, including our upcoming clinic in London and hospital in Belfast offering exciting opportunities to be part of a business that's shaping the future of accessible, community-based healthcare across the region As Affidea continues its expansion into the UK market, the Dublin-based Finance team seeks to recruit an additional accountant to manage and support these new UK registered companies. A qualified accountant with experience of operating UK registered companies and their regulatory requirements when compared to ROI registered companies would be best suited to this role.

The role will commence as standalone, but will expand to working with a team as new companies and clinics join us over the coming months. Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS. Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.

Produce management reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Bookkeeping & Transaction Processing Record all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Manage supplier and customer invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timely payments/collections.

Payroll & Compliance Process payroll timesheets for all employees, including PAYE, pensions, and statutory deductions. Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements for VAT, Corporation Tax, and other filings. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts to support business planning.

Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis. Audit & Tax Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors during annual audits and tax submissions. Maintain accurate records for audit and statutory compliance.

Process Improvement Recommend and implement improvements to financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy. Lead Team/Support Colleagues Ability to manage and support additional team members as the UK team expands as more M&A and Greenfield sites come on stream. Essential Skills Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 3-5 years relevant finance experience in an IFRS or group environment.

Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements. Advanced Excel Skills Proficient in accounting software (Sage Intacct/QuickBooks) and Advanced Excel skills. Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting is desirable.
