Account Manager (Brazil)

Location: São Paulo, Brazil

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Account Manager for a pharmaceutical company to support and expand its pharmaceutical technology transfer business across Brazil and Latin America.

The role will focus on client relationship management, business development, project execution, and cross-functional coordination throughout the technology transfer cycle.

The ideal candidate has experience in pharmaceutical business development or technology transfer, understands GMP/ICH regulatory frameworks, and is comfortable managing complex projects with international stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Transfer & Account Management

  • Manage pharmaceutical technology transfer projects from initial engagement to commercialization.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through meetings, visits, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Develop strategic cooperation opportunities with key accounts.
  • Serve as the primary client contact throughout project execution.

2. Business Development & Project Management

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in Brazil and Latin America.
  • Manage the sales and project process, including lead generation, requirements, proposals, quotations, contracts, and signing.
  • Coordinate internal resources to ensure smooth implementation and timely delivery.

3. Client Support & Commercial Coordination

  • Provide post-sales support and coordinate solutions to client concerns.
  • Monitor project progress and payment collection to minimize commercial risks.
  • Support customer satisfaction and client retention.

4. Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.
  • Support product strategies, pricing proposals, and business development plans.
  • Provide market insights for negotiations and strategic decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Pharmacy, Medicine, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical technology transfer, CDMO business development, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience managing at least 5 complete technology transfer or pharmaceutical project cases.
  • Familiarity with GMP regulations, ICH guidelines, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working with pharmaceutical companies in Brazil is highly preferred.
  • Native or fluent Portuguese is required.
  • Professional working proficiency in English.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Brazil and other Latin American countries for client meetings and business development.
