This 8‑PA 12‑month locum Consultant post is a fixed‑term, part‑time (32 hours per week) position based in the Hospital Dental Service at the Edinburgh Dental Institute, with sessions in the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People as agreed at job planning. The role offers the opportunity to join the established team of Consultants and Specialists leading the comprehensive Hospital Paediatric Dental Service within NHS Lothian, and to contribute to a child‑centred approach to care across primary, secondary and tertiary services. Responsibilities The appointee will be involved in multidisciplinary working with other specialty arms of the Oral Health Service and will liaise closely with medical and primary care colleagues. The post holder may be required to work across NHS Lothian at sites within the remit of the Oral Health Service. Qualifications Registered and holding a licence to practice with the General Dental Council (GDC). Completed four years’ full‑time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on a less‑than‑full‑time or flexible basis) since first obtaining registration, including adequate experience in the relevant specialty.
