Job Title Member Engineering Staff - Embedded Software Engineer Job Code 35268 Job Location Camden, NJ (On-Site) Schedule 9/80 Regular (Every Other Friday Off) Job Description L3Harris Integrated Mission Systems is seeking a Software Engineer. Responsibilities include the translation of requirements into working and maintainable solutions for our C5 and Cyber Solution Centers. The selected candidate will apply technical proficiency across various stages of our Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), gather requirements and work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and scope tasks.

The selected candidate will be working as a key team member on a Scrum team and will be instrumental in setting our direction and strategy for product and infrastructure development. Tasks Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis concepts and principles in the development of software for the target hardware. Work closely with cross functional members of the engineering organization to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and operational performance requirements and design of the overall system.

Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test. Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation. Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results.

Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects. Utilize a variety of software languages (primarily Java/C/C++ and Python), in Windows, Linux (RHEL 7/8), mobile platforms, and embedded real time operating systems (VxWorks, Linux, Integrity, and others for Motorola, Intel, TI, and custom processor designs). Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years of prior applicable experience; or, a Masters Degree with 2 years of related experience At least 2 years of experience developing software in Java, C, and/or C++ and debugging application and cloud-based applications Exposure to debugging embedded applications on simulated and target hardware Hardware / Software Integration experience Experience with Rational Team Concert (RTC), or Jira Participate in peer reviews, identify, track and repair defects Develop software test plans and procedures, and other relevant technical documentation Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal test Investigate root cause of complex issues, and implement solutions, working independently or with a multi-discipline team Developing Software utilizing Modern Cloud Application Development tools and standards Utilize modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, prototype, and evaluate results Usage of Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service technologies, such as VMWare, OpenShift, or similar Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Preferred Additional Skills Experience with Agile Scrum Practices Active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET clearance Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience developing device drivers and software for integrated communication systems Object-oriented design and implementation experience, with exposure to software modeling and UML Knowledge of network architectures and protocols Experience with commercial telephony software packages, such as Asterisk Experience with implementing Risk Management Framework (RMF) security control across application software Experience with static analysis, code coverage tools, and automated test frameworks Experience with communication systems (VOIP/DSL) Salary & Benefits In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $86,000.00 - $120,000.00.

This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
